Gannett, media and marketing solutions company and owner of of USA Today, hosted their first-ever media Upfront in New York City on March 5th, 2013. The event, Gannet_Connects, highlighted their transformation from a traditional, newspaper-based media company to a more diversified digital media network with deep roots into local communities. Red Peak was proud to work with Gannett, defining the strategic positioning, “Building Communities through Connections” and expressing that strategy through various design assets including their new brand launch video, which was featured at the Upfront.

RED PEAK IN BUSINESS WEEK
Our work for YOU On Demand is mentioned in BusinessWeek’s latest article, “‘Made in the USA’ Still Sells.” Our CEO James Fox is quoted as well on the state of American brands outside the home market.
“Not long ago, the Red Peak Group, a global brand-consulting firm with offices in New York, began researching names for a new product in China—a pay-per-view and video-on-demand platform that would allow people to stream licensed Hollywood movies into their homes. Along the way, they market-tested a range of Chinese-style names for the product. But in the end, the feedback was clear. Consumers in China preferred an American-sounding brand. The marketers went with “YOU On Demand.”

Big news for Red Peak! Our own chairman, Michael Birkin, has become CMO of Acer.
Via NASDAQ: “Acer Inc. said Thursday it has hired New York-based Red Peak Group to boost its global product marketing efforts, which analysts have said is the Taiwanese company’s weak spot.
Acer Chairman J.T. Wang said in a statement that Red Peak Chairman Michael Birkin has also been appointed as Acer’s chief marketing officer, starting Oct. 1.”

Get a bike. Lock it to a post. Take a pic every day for a year.
Last year, we conducted a unique urban experiment for Hudson Urban Bicycles. On January 1, 2011 we chained a fully loaded bike - bells, basket, lights and more - to a post along a busy Soho street. We took a picture of the bike everyday for 365 days, watching it slowly vanish before our eyes. The photos we took were then turned into a daily calendar. We call this project LIFECYCLE: 365 days in the life of a bike in NYC.
